Dedicated time and space for deeper therapeutic work.

Sometimes an hour a week isn’t enough. When you're engaged in deeper therapy work, it can feel like you spend much of the session settling in, only to stop just as important material begins to emerge. EMDR intensives create the opportunity to stay with the process, allowing for more focused, immersive work without the interruptions that naturally come with weekly therapy.

Whether you're hoping to address a specific traumatic experience, move through a longstanding pattern, or reconnect with yourself in a deeper way, an EMDR intensive provides dedicated time to support meaningful therapeutic work.

What is an EMDR Intensive?

An EMDR intensive is an extended therapy session that allows us to spend several uninterrupted hours working together using EMDR, Somatic Therapy, and other integrative approaches.

Unlike traditional weekly therapy, an intensive provides the time and space to fully engage in the therapeutic process without feeling rushed.

Each intensive is thoughtfully paced, with built-in breaks and ongoing attention to nervous system regulation and integration throughout the day. We'll move at a pace that feels supportive while creating space for deeper work.

An EMDR Intensive may be right for you if:

  • You want more uninterrupted time to process and integrate.

  • You have a demanding schedule and need a therapy format that works with your life.

  • You’re ready to focus on a specific concern, experience, or therapeutic goal.

  • You have participated in therapy before and want more concentrated work.

My Integrative Approach

I integrate EMDR with Somatic Therapy, attachment-focused work, parts-informed interventions, and relational therapy to create an experience that's responsive to your unique needs.

Rather than pushing through difficult material, we'll pay close attention to what your nervous system is communicating. Sometimes that means slowing down, strengthening resources, or spending time helping your body experience safety before moving deeper into processing.

My goal isn't simply to reduce symptoms—it's to help you create lasting change by addressing the underlying experiences that continue to shape how you relate to yourself and others.

What Can EMDR Intensives Help With?

  • Attachment wounds and traumatic relationships

  • Difficult childhood experiences

  • Chronic people-pleasing and over-functioning patterns

  • Negative beliefs about yourself, including feelings of not being "good enough” or “worthy"

  • Anxiety, overwhelm, and nervous system dysregulation

  • Disturbing memories that continue to impact your present life

  • Life transitions, relationship challenges, or experiences that feel unresolved

  • Feeling stuck despite years of self-reflection, personal growth, or talk therapy

What Does an EMDR Intensive Include?

01.
Free 20-Minute Consultation Call

We begin with a consultation call to determine whether we are a good fit and whether an EMDR Intensive feels like the right path forward for your goals.

02.
Pre-Intensive Intake Session

Before the intensive, we meet for a 90-minute intake session to clarify your goals and prepare for the experience.

During this session, we'll complete a thorough history, identify the memories, beliefs, emotions, and experiences you'd like to focus on, and begin developing the resources needed to support the work.

03.
EMDR Therapy Intensive

Most intensive sessions are scheduled in 3-4 hour blocks, though the structure and pacing are individualized based on your goals and treatment plan.

Throughout the day, we'll incorporate breaks, grounding practices, and regulation strategies as needed. The focus is not on pushing through difficult material, but on creating enough space for meaningful therapeutic work while honoring the pace that feels right for your nervous system.

04.
Integration Session

Approximately one week after your intensive, we'll meet again for a 60-minute integration session to reflect on insights, process any shifts that have occurred, and discuss next steps for continued healing.

*All intensive sessions are available in-person or online throughout California.
